What am I Paying For?

CrossFit boxes are very different from other gyms you may have been to.  In a globo-gym you simply do your own program either alone or with a partner.  CrossFit, however, is based on extremely effective training provided by a CrossFit trainer.  Training at a CrossFit box (yes, we call our gyms “boxes”) is more like taking a group exercise class.  At CrossFit Impulse a trainer conducts each class.  The trainer helps you determine the right workout of the day (WOD) for you based on ability level, injuries, and any other relevant factors.  Each class will generally perform the WOD together while the trainer supervises.  The trainer will lead the warmup, refresh everyone on proper movements and standards relevant to the WOD, coach and encourage each athlete during the WOD, and ensure each athlete is performing movements safely.

CrossFit Fundamentals

By now you can tell that CrossFit is unique.  In order to start taking group classes you need to learn the fundamentals of CrossFit.  One way to do this is through our CrossFit Fundamentals class.  CrossFit Fundamentals is comprised of three training sessions.  We conduct CrossFit Fundamentals every 2-4 weeks depending on how quickly our minimum class size is met. CrossFit Fundamentals is taught in a group setting that is fun and effective.  You might even meet some new friends.  CrossFit Fundamentals is $100, which includes all three sessions.  In order to participate in daily classes you must have either completed CrossFit Fundamentals, be CrossFit level 1 certified, or have completed a similar course at another CrossFit affiliate.  While this may seem a little draconian, this ensures that everyone starts with a similar base of knowledge.  After completing CrossFit Fundamentals you will be able to perform the WODs confidently, safely, and effectively.  This will allow you to focus on your performance during daily WODs instead of wondering how to perform a correct air squat or how to setup your rower. Scheduled Classes

After you’ve completed CrossFit Fundamentals or otherwise satisfied that requirement, you’re ready for daily classes.  We are currently offering unlimited classes for $80 per month. You receive a small discount if you wish to pay three or six months at a time.  If you join with a significant other/spouse/family member that you live with then you can both attend unlimited classes for $140 per month. Special service members (active duty military, firefighter, law enforcement, EMT) can train unlimited for $65/month.  No contracts are required. You can pay month to month or pay for as many months in advance as you would like. Classes are offered according to our schedule here. You can also find a full list of rates on our application here.

Automated Billing

Many of our clients elect to have membership dues paid automatically each month via credit card. Click here to sign up for recurring payments each month. You can set up recurring payments for any of our three levels of membership: general membership ($80/month), partner membership ($140/month), or special service membership ($65/month). This means you will never have to worry about bringing your wallet or checkbook to class.

Drop-In

If you have completed our CrossFit Fundamentals series, completed a similar class at another affiliate, or are CrossFit level 1 certified, then you can drop-in on any of our scheduled WODs for $10 per drop-in. No membership necessary.  Just like our regularly scheduled WODs, this is only for athletes with at least a base of CrossFit experience.  If you are new to CrossFit then please schedule CrossFit Fundamentals with us before dropping in.

Personal Training

If you want to train at CrossFit Impulse but don’t prefer a group atmosphere, then we offer personal training.  Personal training is scheduled by appointment and costs $70 per one-hour session.  You can also schedule “partner personal training” for you and a friend/spouse/family member for $100 per one-hour session.

Terms

We currently accept payment via cash, check, and credit cards via automated monthly billing.  All payments must be made in advance of training.  Payment for CrossFit Fundamentals is due at time of scheduling.  We have big plans for CrossFit Impulse.  As we continue to increase the availability, quality, and quantity of our services, rates will change.  Anyone who becomes a member under an existing rate may continue to pay that monthly rate for at least 6 months before having to absorb any rate increases.

If you’ve decided to join, then you can download our membership application.  It contains all of the above information on rates and asks for a little info we’d like to know about you before you train with us. You can also review our waiver, which we will need you to sign before beginning training. You are welcome to print these two forms, fill them out, and bring them with you when you sign up. You can also fill out copies in person when you arrive if you prefer. Above all, stop by and visit us. The best way to understand CrossFit is to observe and then experience it. You won’t regret it!
