Now these are Instructions!!. I hold no hope of building something like this, but what I did get was a solid set of instructions to guide my contracted iron worker. I figure I will pay him Just under 1000 to have my 12 foot tall 14 foot long Dirty-south-Bar-all-around (5 sides, the sixth attaches to a 5 foot reinforced concrete roof support wall)for 10 pullup positions (all at once), and two high bars for muscle-ups. Rogue would hit you up for 2800 for my baby. Thanks a ton. when in Miami come visit us at CrossFit Key Biscayne (opening January 2012)!

I would think 12 feet at a minimum. If it were me, I would take the tallest guy, assume the rings would be hanging at fingertip distance above his head, then add at least another 4 feet from that distance to get your bar height. You want to make sure an athlete has enough clearance to hang from the rings without his feet touching the ground, and also have enough head clearance at the top of the muscle up so the top of his head doesn't hit the bar. This is just my 2 cents though.

I came across this article while doing some research on pull-up grips. This is quite impressive. I've always wondered how you guys came up with the pull-up station. If there was any wonder whether you're an engineer or not, I thin think this article answers with a resounding, "YES!"
I love the pull-up station. It ripped my hands up today while doing "Mary". :-)

We do have a separate area for rings, but we also hang two sets of rings from the high center bars of this pullup station. They aren't high enough for muscle ups, but they work great for ring dips, ring pushups, and ring rows.

This pullup station is awesome! It looks like it would be impressive to a potential CF newbie. Do you have a separate area for your rings? I was thinking it could be modified with some 12' high bars that you could strap some rings onto.
