**Failed attempt at 105. Thanks Christina for coaching this am and encouraging me to do my best! Sometimes I think about it too much and play a head game with myself. I too will meet 105 split jerk again and conquer!

  2. Morning class did really well today. I saw some impressive lifts by all of you! Congrats to Lori, Ben, and Steven for really committing to some heavy lifts! Looking forward to teaching the 4:00 class today… hopefully they will bring it like the morning class did!

  3. Not too bad on split jerks for my first time.
65-75-75-80-85-90-90 failed at 95 because I need to work on the movement more. Lori, I wish I had been there to watch you this morning, you’re awesome!

    1. Thanks Michelle! It was just a good PR day and many thanks to Christina for showing me the ways!! I was about to give up but she encouraged me to go for it. I need to start coming at lunch so we can workout together!

  4. 145-155-165-175-185-190-175
First time doing split jerks. There is just something strange about jumping under that weight and doing the splits. I had trouble a few times convincing my body to do it.

  5. Had fun working with erin b and zan. I got up to 95, failed at 100 about 5 times. Oh well. When I got home I tought Tristan how to split jerk (aka spitjer). He’s been doing them all night now. He’s added it to his other xfit skills which include: pusup, puwup, swats, and sipups.

  6. Today I had an awesome time working with Christina! I got up to 95lbs. Thanks Jeff for the lesson on getting low it really made all the difference! Great 5:15 class and also great job 6:30 class! Hope everyone has a great Labor Day weekend!!

  7. Had a good time coaching the 6:30 class. Thanks, Katie, for the impromptu demo on getting low under the bar. Congrats to Rosie for putting all the pieces of the technique together to finally nail that load that kept beating her.

During the 5:00 I did death by weighted pullups and weighted dips. Then I did 5-5-5 bench press at 185-205-205.

  8. Glad everyone’s workout went well. I really wanted to workout this week, but my knees have been bothering me. I’m going to try to see a sports doc next week. Hope to see you all sooner than later 🙂

  9. This was definitely a humbling WOD for me. But by the end of the class I felt that I had a better handle on the movement, thanks to both Leahs and my favorite cheerleader, Christina. Only made it up to 70# but I think I’ll be ready to tackle more on the next go-round. On a higher note, I got 2 unassisted, dead-hang chin-ups! Pretty pumped about that!
