Todd Weaver

U.S. Army First Lieutenant Todd W. Weaver, 26, of Hampton, Virginia, assigned to the 1st Battalion, 320th Field Artillery Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), based out of Fort Campbell, Kentucky, died on September 9, 2010, of wounds suffered when insurgents attacked his unit with a roadside bomb in Kandahar, Afghanistan. He is survived by his wife Emma, daughter Kiley, parents Don and Jeanne, and siblings Glenn, Adrianna, and Christina.

  1. Today’s WOD is a tough push/pull drill. Pam and Janet both did really well. Michelle completed Open WOD 11.1 with 2 rounds + 2 reps. That currently puts her 61st in the world in the ladies’ masters division. I think that’s pretty damn cool.

    Competitors for Saturday: don’t you dare think about training today. By all means, come to class and do some stretching or light mobility work if you like, but above all focus on eating well and hydrating for tomorrow. Hydrate more than you think is necessary, and save the cheat meal and booze for Saturday night–not tonight. Your homework is done. Today you just get prepared to turn it in.

  2. Good luck to everyone tomorrow, wish I could be there. I will be doing the WOD tonight at Colorado Springs Crossfit.

  3. Did Wednesday’s workout, but not in competition. 2 rounds + 29 DU’s (and about 426 missed DU’s). I couldn’t buy linked DU’s today. Stuck around for open gym in case anyone needed a judge. Got to judge impromptu Texas line dance WOD (you should demand publication of the pics Christina took).

    4 Rounds:
    15 pushups
    15 CTB pullups
    15 pushups
    20 Pullups

    First two rounds were hell and then it got worse. My hards started ripping, I lost my grip, and I had to use a blue band on the last two rounds. Those ‘skin the cat’ got scary after I did about 30 of them because I had no grip. I almost completed 4 rounds. I still had 15 pushups and 20 pullups left to do when time ran out on me.

      Overall, this was a great workout. I just wasnt all there today for some reason.

    Nice to get a workout in this week but Orlando is getting hot!
