Awesome job by everyone this morning. Christina thanks for your help!
55-55-55-55-60-65-70x then switched to 31# and did a bunch of getting under the bar. I will be working on my speed and technique on snatch for a while. I’m really not even close to having this move down.
I agree with Michelle. Snatch is pretty difficult. I did 5×5 @ 65# for technique work. The Burgener Warmup’s Muscle snatch was a great movement, thanks Christina. For those looking for the Burgener Warmup check out the linky below.

Had a large morning class today! Everyone did extremely well today. I was glad to see people really focusing on getting technique down before just trying to load up the bar and go. Katie Ste. did amazing today with 35lb one armed squat snatches! Really impressive.
Hey Christina, my shoulder right shoulder that was pinching a little during the workout is getting a gradually more sore now at home. Can you recommend any stretches to help with it? Should I ice it? Thanks!!
I maxed out today at 120 lbs which is up from a 75 lb max when I started learning the movement about 4 months ago. I think Jeff’s leading the technique practice at the beginning really helped with some of the “muscle memory” I needed but I’ve still got to practice keeping my landing position more narrow.

My previous PR on 1/23/11 was 100# so I was really happy to get a 15# PR tonight!
Bench Press Strength WOD
5@80
3@80
AMRAP @ 95 = 3,failed on the 4th
Mini-WOD
3 rounds for time of:
10 OHS with 35lb bar
10 burpees
5:19

The strength is there… Just gotta get my body under the bar faster. Thanks for the coaching Jeff!

I didn’t have a 1rm prior to today, so I’m pretty happy with this! The warmup was extremely helpful, especially with the
extra reps I got in as a “demo girl.” Tried
80 three times but my legs were too tired at that point to allow me to drop under and push back up.
Worked on Wendler 5/3/1 after class. Made up the back squat I missed last
week and then did shoulder press and
bench press for this week. Results:
Back squat
Tried typing this up on my phone last night and was not very successful. Here’s what that post should have been:

Back squat AMRAP at 85%: 3×95 lbs (should have gotten more reps, but legs were gone after snatch WOD)
Press AMRAP at 90%: 7×60 (about right for my current 1rm)
Bench AMRAP at 90%: 11×70 (which should put my 1rm at 95 lbs, a 10 lb PR!) Thank you Katie for spotting for me and pushing me to keep going on the bench press!

Still can’t feel my legs and thanks for pushing me to do it right Jeff.
max’d at 165, 10 lbs under my previous PR, pretty disappointed, no excuses.
