I wish I was in good enough physical shape to handle a snatch today; I suppose I’ll have to find a substitution for this evening.
Perhaps I can do one-hand snatch attempts during this WOD.
Great morning class today! Hightower and Kristen worked their butts off this morning before most people are even out of bed. They are either dedicated, or insane. Haha, my vote is dedicated. They both put up good numbers for everyone else to shoot for this afternoon. Kristen missed only one snatch of seven, and Hightower landed all seven. Nice work to both of you!

The lift and catch got easier as the wod went on.
I enjoyed seeing everyone improve their positions on snatch during 5:15. You guys made some major progress.
My WOD:
5:38/ 945 lbs
Felt like I should have gone heavier on snatch (135×7) but being my first time back with snatch, I erred on the side of caution, which is the opposite of the side I erred on when I destroyed my clavicle.
Good news is, clavicle feels really solid. Almost completely back to normal.
I think I did 45 DUs one round. Wasn’t sure, so I did 10 more.
I am still staying off my wrist in the overhead position. I did a modified version of the workout.

A little different workout today, but fun. Daniel convinced me to put on the 2.5’s and went with 120#. Barely missed my last rep. 6:10 @ 720#

Did 95# snatch 6 rounds but failed on the last round becaue I wasn’t concentrating. DUs were slow today. Gotta get my metcon strength back.
This workout was a mix of good and horrible for me. The good was that I did all 7 rounds of DUs unbroken. The horrible was that I only made 2 of the 7 lifts (one at 125 and one at 120). But I was determined so once the 7 rounds were over I kept attempting the snatch until I got 5 more successful lifts. I really need to work on the bottom of the OHS.

I missed my very first snatch, which in turn pissed me off enough to not miss another one. DU’s were slow but consitent, overall pretty happy with the workout, a little dissappointed I didn’t break 1000 lbs.
