“Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. 1. It is one three minute round and see how far you can get…

  1. That was a surprisingly intense 3 minutes. I had so much fun partnering up with Tesha on this one!

  2. I had fun with you too Kristen! Great work this morning! I did a gold/silver mod: 20 cal row, 25 WB @ 10#, and 7 tucks. Ended up with 52 reps.

  3. This is Event 8 from the 2011 CrossFit Games this past weekend. You see how far into it you can get in 3 minutes. The next event was the same list, but you see how far you can get in 6 minutes. The final event was the same list, but complete it all, for time. If Thursday and Friday follow suit with Events 9 and 10 then it will make more sense.

An AMRAP that appears like you could never complete more than 1 round is just a chipper with a cutoff time. Two different ways of stating the same thing.

  4. 82 reps gold. Doing gold at least let me get a few of the movements in. Had fun working with Joe and Daniel.

Worked on some double unders before class. Hit 90 a few times than pulled 180 out of my butt! PR by almost 90!

  5. Awesome tire flipping, wind milling 5:15 class today. Justin and Joe really set the pace on this one.

At 6:30 I made it 13 reps into the box jumps, giving me a score of 20 calories + 63 reps. TTB need the most work. Had to make my initial drop after just 10.

  6. Did rope climbs and clean and jerks with Bee today. Did 5-4-3-2-1 of rope climbs and clean and jerks with the following weight 75-80-85-90-100 hard to tell what I was going to be able to lift on this one and now I know that I should have gone heavier. Next time! 14:09

  7. First time doing the Silver standard. Didn’t make it through the entire WOD with the 3 minute round, but I really enjoyed the intensity of the workout!

  8. Did one round of this WOD instead of 3 minutes – 11:04 slightly rx’d.

Used 105# barbell instead of 3 pd KB for SDHP. Used a milk crate filled with 175# of dumbbells for a sled and pushed it 150ft across the driveway.
