With a continuously running clock, do one pull-up and one handstand push-up the first minute, two pull-ups and two handstand push-ups the second minute, three pull-ups and three handstand push-ups the third minute… continuing as long as you are able. When you cannot complete the required number of reps for either exercise, continue only with the other as long as you are able.
Use as many sets in any order each minute as needed.
Post number of minutes successfully completed for each exercise to comments. Their sum is your score.
Laurie Galassi 32 (15 HSPU + 17 Pull-up), Jesse Bazarnick 31 (12 HSPU + 19 Pull-up).
What a great way to kick off my Monday morning to start the week with a group of amazing CrossFit athletes. You all make it worth getting up before daylight! Kudos to Kristen for her hard work on those kipping pullups during the workout! Hightower and Ben hung on for a long time! Great class this morning!
Agreed on the great way to start a Monday! Great job by all this morning. 11 rounds of pull-ups mixed, no band for 4 rounds, red & blue for the rest. 9 rounds up push-ups. Kristen did a great job getting her pull-ups this morning! Sarah L is simply put, badass.
Great job completing four rounds without a band! How could I have forgotten that!
What a great way to start the week! 11 rounds of kipping pullups (attempted a 12th round with a band but could not get them fast enough) and 9 rounds of hand release pushups. Great job everyone! Congrats Michelle on 4 rounds without a band!
9 full rounds (inverted wall pushups) + 14 pullups rounds + 14 pullups (incomplete round)
HSPU/PU
8/15
8/10 +6 (shoulder press w/45 dumbells / kipping pull-ups)
25 (10 HSPUs + 15 pullups)
I intentionally stopped on pullups.
25 (10 HSPU + 15 Pull-Ups)
My strategy definitely could have been better. I wasted a lot of energy on that 11th HSPU. Should have called it at 10 and saved it for the Pull-Ups. I’ll know better next time.
20 (14PU/6HSPU)
HSPUs were the usual frustration. I could have finished the 15th round of pull-ups but my hand ripped on the 13th rep and I stopped. In hindsight, I should have jumped back on the bar. Thanks Jordan for coaching and pushing me on this one!
