    1. Funny.

Oh the irony of my photo placed with any run workout. I think my strategy tomorrow will be to start slowly then taper off from there.

    1. Lol Reneee. The first thing I thought about when I saw this WOD was a vision of you passing me on the first 200m and me not being able to catch up.

  1. Amen Michelle!! So proud of everyone this morning… Ken killed it!! I am really happy with this 5K even though its not my best time. I actually felt pretty good through the whole run- 28:17. Thanks Christina for all the motivation!!

  2. Honestly, there are mysteries in this world that we will never understand no matter how much searching we do. For me, one such mystery is running for recreation. I admire those of you who enjoy this sort of thing.

It’s like that quote from Back to the Future III (thank you IMDB):

“Doc: And in the future, we don’t need horses. We have motorized carriages called automobiles.

Saloon Old Timer #3: If everybody’s got one of these auto-whatsits, does anybody walk or run anymore?

Doc: Of course we run. But for recreation. For fun.

Saloon Old Timer #3: Run for fun? What the hell kind of fun is that?”

  3. You guys are awesome! Jason E, Dan, Jason B, and Fei all completed their first 5K runs today, and countless others PR’d our course by 1-2 minutes! Awesome job, guys!

I swam 750m at Dublin Park, untimed. Consistently breathing every 3rd stroke now.

  4. My first ever 5k! Thanks Mandy and Amanda for coming back out and pacing me to the finish for the last 200-400 meters. I couldn’t believe I could run that fast at the end. Next one I’ll try a faster pace! 34:47. Tried max box jump tonight too for the first time. 31″. Yay! Thanks Christina for the coaching!

  5. Worked late and ran 5k in Research Park with Brittany. She kicked my butt! I finished in 24:26. I am not sure about the accuracy of the course. Used Google maps to map it out.

  6. 23:24

I enjoyed running this in research park with David. Not a PR but I kept a good 7:30 min/mi pace. The only thing that kept me going was knowing David was hot on my heels!!

  7. 22:21 Thanks to Christina for offering to let me do the 5k today as my WOD 😉 youre awesome! ..a little shade or some rain woulda been nice, but its all good
