We’re going to try something a little different this block. We’re going to train like Eric trains–just a tad bit less. I’m going to take Eric’s program each week and simply pull out some of the volume. It still may be a fairly high volume program. If you need to skip something, choose based on your weaknesses or how you feel, and don’t think twice about it. It also includes some training on Thursday. Thursday is specifically designed to not beat you up. It will generally be an endurance rowing piece plus some strict pressing work (sometimes bro-out bench press). If you feel recovered enough to add this training day then try it out. We’re starting a new squat cycle this week. This cycle will have an emphasis on front squat and overhead squat. It’s an adaptation I made from Coach Mike Burgener’s Volume Squat program. We’ll be squatting two days per week. The first day will be back and front squat. The second day will be front and overhead squat. I’m particularly excited about this week’s Thunderdome Saturday. There’s only one barbell in it, and it weighs 135/95 lb. I hope you like it.
