I’ve been active my whole life. I began playing sports as a kid, everything from baseball, soccer, hockey and basketball and I always seemed to be hiking, biking, or enjoying the outdoors. In high school, I played freshman baseball, but switched to cross country (yes, you read that right) and track and field. In college, I discovered rugby and fell in love with it; at West Point, I played division 1 rugby for 4 years. Leaving West Point, I no longer had a “sport”, so I became a standard gym rat lifting back, bi’s, chest and tri’s.
My brother introduced me to CrossFit in 2011, but I didn’t make it my main training methodology right away. I did WOD workouts occasionally but wasn’t very consistent. When I moved to Savannah GA, I found CrossFit Steadfast (if you make it to Savannah Drop in they have a great community) and immediately joined and started training. Coaching was always a goal for me; however, being active duty I did not have a lot of time to pursue it. In 2016 I found myself with less deployment time, and I was able to focus a little more time to coaching. I have now had about 2 years of coaching experience and I am looking forward to sharing my passion for CrossFit with everyone and growing as a coach.
