  1. WARNING: IF YOU DON’T HAVE A SENSE OF HUMOR DON’T WATCH!

    2 Crossfitters 1 Chalk Bucket

      1. Thanks Aaron, I couldn’t believe that I was able to start today 1# under my last snatch weight. It’s taken six solid months of hard work and just as much mental training to get over the self imposed limits.

  2. 95-105-115x-115x-115x-115-115

Previous PR was 115 at Faction Games in August, I’ll take it today considering the amount of time off I’ve had lately.
Great coaching from David this morning, don’t know if I would have snatched 115 without the cues. Gracias!

  3. Found this informative from the people I get my fish oil from:

The sun is shining and it’s a beautiful morning to be alive: you take an early jog surrounded by birdsong, eat a delicious breakfast of grapefruit and bran cereal, take your daily supplements, and head off to work, feeling terrific.

Everything’s going great until…dun dun DUH…a little post-coffee burp turns your mouth into a horribly rancid fish factory, causing you to gag and swear off fish oil supplements forever!

The dreaded “fish burps” have turned many health-conscious people away from taking fish oil supplements. This is unfortunate, as the Omega-3 acids in fish oil are highly beneficial. These acids support heart and brain health, joint movement and cognitive function, among other benefits. Luckily, there are many ways to enjoy the benefits of Omega-3 acids through fish oil without having your day ruined by fish burps.

First and foremost, the quality of the fish oil product is the most important factor in reducing distasteful burps. Many times bad burps are caused by oxidation (rotting) of a low-quality product. If your fish oil is not molecularly distilled, impurities in the oil cause the product to rot over time. Distillation also removes mercury and other heavy metals from the oil. Make sure the fish oil you choose says “Molecularly Distilled” somewhere on the product information before purchasing.

Another solution is to buy enteric coated capsules. Enteric coating is designed to withstand the acidic environment of the stomach and instead release the supplement in the small intestine. Since there is no fish oil in your stomach, you won’t experience fishy tasting burps.

There are also other products besides fish oil pills that can supplement your Omega-3 intake. Krill oil is a good choice; since krill is not fish, it has no fishy flavor. Many supplement companies have also developed products other than pills that contain Omega-3. Flavored fish oil shakes and children’s gummies are now available on the market.

  4. 45-50-55-60-65(PR)-70x-70x

PR’d by 15#. Had 70# but didn’t have the balls to dive underneath it. Thanks, Jeff & Christina for the help. Hopefully I’ll grow a pair before we do this WOD again. 🙂

  5. 95-105(f)-105-115(f)-115(f)-115(f)-…115

Very disappointing night for me. I was struggling with the snatch. I knew it was something I need a lot of work on, but expected much more out of myself tonight. On the positive side, I have something to work on now.

  6. 31-41-51-61-66-55-55 First time working on the snatch movement, once I hit a really hard weight I backed back down to a lighter weight to work on form. Thanks Hudson for your help!

  7. 135-155-165-175(f)-175(f)-175(f)-175(f)

Got 186 last weekend. I can only guess that the fatigue from the past two days is taking it’s toll. Looking forward to a rest day. Enjoyed helping out with the classes this evening. Saw a lot of improvement across the board.

  8. Well at least I beat david 95-95-115-115-125

Haha just kiddin… Did improve as the workout went on. My last workout with snatches was forever ago… So I had some seriously ugly form at the start.

  9. 95-105-115-120-125-135(f)-130-135(f)x4-135

Felt really good tonight. With more time would have liked to keep going. Great motivation and encouragement from all the CFI trainers tonight!

  10. Snatch – 115-135-145-155-165-175(PR).

PR’d by 10lbs, I think I have quite a bit more in me with the snatch, my “Fight Gone Worse” fatigue was definitely a factor in all parts of this movement. Looking forward to the next time it pops up. Thanks to Jeff, Christina, and Ryan for keeping me strict with form.

  11. Just a bunch of misses. Shoulder flexability is still not there. I will keep working on.
