    1. I just have to smile when looking at it….reading Wendler 5/3/1 right now and he squats that…1000lb squat.
      That will humble you.

  1. That bar is a monster and makes me smile cheek to cheek. One day I will….get my friends to help me lift that thing.

  2. Good workout, double unders piss me off every time and get me winded all the time! 14:17-490#
Thanks Zan and Brittany for the push:-)

  3. My 5:15 class rocked it! Saw strong work from everyone! Christina M really improved her double unders throughout the WOD!

    At 6:30 I scored 6:47 and 995 lbs with 1 miss. 170-x-165-165-165-165-165

I think I just got lazy and feeling sorry for myself and didn’t pull hard enough on my miss. I power snatched the remaining reps after that. After the WOD I rested a few min and tried a couple kettlebell ladders from the book Enter the Kettlebell

1-2-3-4-5 Kettlebell clean and press each arm @ 2 pood
1-2-3-4-5 Kettlebell snatch each arm @ 2 pood

The ladder works by doing 1 rep each arm, rest as needed. 2 reps each arm, rest as needed. 3 reps each arm…and so on. Kettlebell doesn’t touch the ground as you switch arms. The 4 and 5 rungs of the ladder are pretty challenging to body, mind, and grip.

  4. I had great time with the 4:00 class today! Everyone did great with this high skill WOD.

    At the 11:30 class I got 12:40 and 420lbs total. I failed on 3 lifts at 105#.
I tried it again at the 5:15 class and I got 12:15 and 525lbs total. I failed on 2 lifts at 105# again, but I linked more DU tonight. Over all I learned alot and got in some great skill work today.

  5. 6:35 – 810 lbs

It was good to see so many people working hard at my 6:30 class! I had to stay on my toes because of all the jump ropes and barbells being flung around. Great class!

  6. 13:27 and 490 (70# power snatch, no missed reps).

I haven’t worked on either of these skills much in the last few months and it really showed. Double unders were horrible until about halfway through, but never got consistent. Power snatch form was about as horrible, but I was able to muscle it up each time.

  7. 9:42 – 600# Rx’d

90# the first round then 85# each subsequent round (all power snatch). Worked with Zan on DL (Wendler programming) after: 175# x 5, 195# x 5, 210# – max 6 without dropping bar.
