I was really impressed with our athletes in the CrossFit Fundamentals Class today. Some showed almost mastery of the squat after very little practice. Congrats to Wendy for winning the Tabata Squat WOD with a score of 14!

Agreed with John. I’m guilty of burning out in the earlier rounds. Ended up with 5 as my low number in the last round of tabata squats. Feeling the burn.
Why are they called “Tabata” cycles? http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/8897392?dopt=Abstract
I certainly didn’t know why.
Also, some good thoughts on how to go about attacking the Tabata challenge. I’m 100% guilty of burning out and will definitely try using the techniques discussed in the article here: http://crossfitchaos.com/chlog/Entries/2009/11/10_Tabata_Something_Else.html
