Why are they called “Tabata” cycles? http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/8897392?dopt=Abstract
I certainly didn’t know why.
Also, some good thoughts on how to go about attacking the Tabata challenge. I’m 100% guilty of burning out and will definitely try using the techniques discussed in the article here: http://crossfitchaos.com/chlog/Entries/2009/11/10_Tabata_Something_Else.html
I was really impressed with our athletes in the CrossFit Fundamentals Class today. Some showed almost mastery of the squat after very little practice. Congrats to Wendy for winning the Tabata Squat WOD with a score of 14!
Fundamentals Class (and Christina), nice work in Tabata Squat WOD today! Congrats to Wendy for being to winner with 14!
Jeff, nice work on your back squat PR!
I just wanted to say GREAT job to everyone today! Look forward to tomorrow — that is if I can walk! 🙂
Thanks John for the articles! Congrats to Jeff and David today for both setting PRs! Keep up the great work guys!
Agreed with John. I’m guilty of burning out in the earlier rounds. Ended up with 5 as my low number in the last round of tabata squats. Feeling the burn.
