Army Sgt. Keith Adam Coe, 30, of Auburndale, Fla., assigned to the 1st Battalion, 37th Field Artillery Regiment, 3rd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash., died April 27th, 2010, in Khalis, Iraq, of wounds sustained when enemy forces attacked his unit with an explosive device. He is survived by his wife Katrina Coe, two sons, Killian and Keith Jr., and daughter, Klover.
24:39, finished 6 rounds as Rx’d the last 4 rounds subbed regular PU for ring PU. This WOD blasted the shoulders. Analysis: Need more shoulder strength and endurance.
15:22 Silver, 8 reps with 41# thrusters and CF push-ups. I scaled this one too much and should have at least done 10 reps. Still learning on what and how to scale!!
20:47, 41# thruster, box push ups, 10 reps, 10 rounds
I was planning on only doing 8 reps per round, but somehow forgot, and ended up doing 10 reps per round… I guess it was all for the best. Great Workout.
Steven almost sounded the Lunk Alarm, but then quickly realized that he was at an actual gym.
Hey! what was that youtube video link again about the lunk alarm? I’ve been looking for it and can’t find it.
Heres the video:
Heres the article:

That is hilarious, an actual alarm at a gym for grunting?
Do a google search for lunk alarm, the Urban Dictionary definition is pretty funny.
I’m not sure which video you were looking for, but I found several on YouTube. There was even one where it made the news. Hilarious.
Wow. what a workout. I could barely turn my steering wheel to get home. Good job lunch crowd! Thanks Christina for all the help!!
17:14 55# thrusters 5 reps, 8 CF push-ups 10 rounds. Zan it was really nice seeing you in there with us today and thanks for the encouragement. Gean, you’re a beast!! Awesome lunch crowd.
Thanks for the “shout out”, but I know place when compared to the afternoon/evening crews. Someday I’ll be worthy of doing the WODs with them.
19:39, 41# thrusters and regular push-ups (8 reps each). My thrusters suck, but I sweat like a fat man, so I know I got some work out of it 😉
18:55 Rx. Much harder than I had thought. Didn’t look to bad on paper but the combination of pushups and thrusters fatigued my shoulders after the third round. Chasing Andrew M the first three rounds helped me push harder.
This WOD was extremely tough for me. Combination of tendinitis in my left elbow and eating poorly had me working for 26 minutes. Bonked real hard in round 3 or 4.
Did 6 rounds 85#. Last 4 rounds did 65# and regular push-ups.
Thanks to Hudson for making me go unbroken a few times and to Steven for keeping me going.
23:08 rx’d. This really put me in my place. Hudson is being modest, I was doing my best to keep up with him the entire workout, and fell more than a full round behind. I need a rest day.
21:43 w/ regular PUs. Passed on the ring PUs to save my shoulders for this weekend’s rafting trip. This workout was definitely deceiving. Props to Hudson and Andrew for going at each other rx’d.
18:58 Gold
10 rounds of:
8 reps of 95# thrusters
8 reps of ring push ups
Thanks for the “might wanna go gold this time” advice, Christina. I may have hurt myself if I had to do another 20 reps of each. Great way to work through the WOD, lunch crew!
Worked on form today. Bad form has been making me more sore that I should be.
10 rounds of:
8 reps of 65# thrusters
8 reps of ring push ups
Also have been working on my double unders before and after the classes. Was able to get few 20+ sets with a PR of 26!
Ran a 10k with Jeff at the Greenway in the pouring down rain. It actually felt really good, and cooled the temp down considerably. Afterwards, joined the 6:15 class for the WOD. I did pullups instead of thrusters, but did the ring pushups as prescribed. finished in 12:59.
Afterwards, I ate the best salad ever created by human hands, followed by a small helping of soft serve ice cream. And there was much rejoicing.
Enjoyed running 10k with Daniel on what will become CFI’s 10k running course. I think the course is pretty sound. You only have to cross a road once, and almost the entire run has well-groomed grass available for running if you want to reduce impact at the expense of speed. I will be posting more information about it soon.
Also enjoyed observing the 6:15 class. All our new members are already making huge progress. In general, I saw thrusters being cleaned with flat, neutral backs. I saw the bar staying close to everyone’s body. I saw aggressive shooting out of the elbows to finish the clean. I saw hip initiated front squats with upright torsos. Pushups were sound across the board. You guys are really moving like CrossFitters.
15:47
10 rounds:
8 reps – 55# thrusters
8 reps – Ring pushups/Reg pushups
Surprisingly, 55# was much easier than I thought it would be and I linked all the thrusters in 9 of the 10 rounds fairly quickly. Using 65# next time. Spent most of the time (10+ mins) doing pushups, particularly the ring pushups. First 30 reps were ring pushups then switched to regular pushups. Awesome 6:15 class as usual!
21:53 Rx. Made this one up at lunch class. I wanted to quit after 2 sets. Thanks Christina for the advice on thrusters, it really helped me push more reps out before resting.
Your blog is nicely set up. good theme, decent content. Thanks for the effort!
