Turkey Trot in Orlando
Great time this morning at the Turkey Trot 5K with Davy, Michelle, Melissa, Christina, Erin, Ryan, Sarah, and Clint. I PR’d at 21:58. Thanks to Ryan and Erin for pacing me. I don’t usually come out that fast, and they forced me to keep an uncomfortable pace at the beginning, which is why I PR’d. Thanks so much Browntown(s)!
I did a modified Helen this morning:
3 rds for time:
40lb dumbbell swings X 21 swings (no kettle-bells available)
20 Pushups (still suffering from elbow tendonitis…blah, blah, blah)
I kicked my own A** on this one and lost a left lung in the process!
Happy Gobble Gobble Day!!!
I did Helen this morning. Finished in 9:40. My PR on this is 9:32. Ended up breaking the last set of pullups, I think that’s what slowed me down. I like this workout. Its just brutal enough to suck, but short enough where all rounds and reps could possibly go unbroken.
My time was 23:29 in the Turkey Trot this morning. That’s 0:31 seconds over my PR, but I only was shooting for under 24 since I haven’t been running at all.
Thanks Davy and Jeff for coming back and pushing me out of my comfort zone this morning!! It was a great way to start the day for sure!
