  1. This was my first meeting with Fran. My goal for today was to do kipping pull ups for the entire WOD and finish under 15 mins. I did both! 11:46. Thanks to the morning crew for the motivation:-) Great way to start your day

  2. You did great Amanda!!

Today my goal was to finish Fran without putting the bar down during each set. 55# blue band 7:22 compared to 12-13 8:04. Thanks David for the push through those last 3 thrusters. Ben smoked it this morning!!

  3. Awesome morning class! Michelle and Ben got new PRs in Fran! Kudos to Amanda for completing her first Fran! It was good to see James back in the box this morning.

My PR on 100913 as Rx’d was 5:31. Today’s word is humility.

After the wod I was bent over in agony, praying for death to end my misery, when I heard a whisper in my ear. The voice was sweet, with a hint of pugnacity and said, “Aaron, stop being an asshole and get your shit together if you want to dance with me.” I tried to look up to see who it was, but with the sting of sweat in my eyes, I could only muster a spittled reply, “ma’am, yes ma’am”…

This was just the wod I needed to benchmark how much my 2 month slacker sabbatical has cost me. I’ll be ready for the showdown at the end of the month.

  5. 7:45 Rx’d. First time doing it prescribed. I had done it in 7:32 @ 75lbs back on Dec 13th so I guess I’m relatively happy finsihing with the same time with more weight 3 weeks later

  6. I’m on the plane to frankfrut German reading the latest issue of Outside Magazine. There is an article in here called “the workout time forgot”. It is very interesting and references CrissFit and “Paleo Fitness” often. Just passing that along. It’s a good read.

  7. Some great PRs tonight in the 5:15 class. Greg and Sarah M. both really excelled. Everybody really got into the mobility work. I know 2 minutes of static discomfort is pretty un-fun, but it’s for a greater cause, and you guys did well with it.

  8. 4:00 Rx’d PR.

Tried to do this with butterfly pu’s. They went pretty well and were very fast but I lost a lot of time and energy each time I lost my rhythm. Still need a lot of work on them.
