I think everyone survived the 6×6 squats at 80%. Congrats. But while we were so focused on the 6×6, the 5×5 @ 85% has made a sneak attack on our flank and is on the menu for Monday. And then 4×4 @ 90% on Friday! Bring an extra pair of underwear. This could get messy. During this deload week we focus on our Russian Squat Program while reducing the volume of gymnastics. This week we primarily train gymnastics through traditional but short CrossFit couplets and triplets. We’ll also keep working the handstand walking skill work.
So use this week to start feeling fresh and recovered. If you need to skip a workout to get some recovery, do it. Make every effort to stay on track with the squats. Next priority is the deadlift work. After that, everything is negotiable.
