This week is a little unusual. We’re ready to start a new strength cycle, but the one I have planned would wreck us for Saturday’s Protocol Combine. So this week is specifically tailored to practicing skills and tapering fatigue for the Combine. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday are fairly normal training days. Thursday is a recovery day. And Friday is just to keep your CNS and metabolic systems fresh for Saturday’s competition.
Next week we start a strength training block called “Squat Every Day and Bench Most Days.” We will also be joining the CrossFit Impulse classes for the Coan Deadlift Program every Monday. I’ve been saying since the beginning of the Summer Swolstice that this road has only two destinations: killed or unkillable. So far, we’re still alive.
