“Tabata This!”

Tabata Row
Rest 1 minute
Tabata Squat
Rest 1 minute
Tabata Pull-up
Rest 1 minute
Tabata Push-up
Rest 1 minute
Tabata Sit-up

The Tabata interval is 20 seconds of work followed by 10 seconds of rest for 8 intervals.
Tabata score is the least number of reps performed in any of the eight intervals. Unit for the row is “calories”.

Post Tabata score for each exercise to comments and total for final score.
E.G., 10, 22, 9, 15, 15 = 71

  1. Good workout.
    Screwed up on the row several rounds in by falling off the set, I feel like my butt is not secure in the seat. think I’m not pressing down into the seat enough. Pullups were horrible for me, feel like my shoulders are just not recovering that well. My shoulders felt tired before we even started this morning. Push ups were a killer towards the end, my arms didn’t want to lock out.

    Pullup – 2 (got 6 on the first round and I thought I would be able to hold out for 4 or 5, but no go)
    Pushup – 5
    Situps – 6
    TOTAL: 32

    Good workout. Glad we had a few people there instead of just two. This one would suck if you were by yourself.

    I don’t think going all-out on the first few rounds of every movement is a wise strategy, ( pull-ups went from 19 to 6 !) but I enjoyed this one all the same.

  4. Tough WOD. Even when I tried to “game” it, I was too aggressive.

    Row: 7 (goal was 9)
    Squat: 14 (goal was 18)
    Pullups: 4 (goal was 6)
    Pushups: 5 (goal was 10, which I kept through 5 rounds)
    Situps: 7 (goal was 10)

    Despite not reaching the goals, I was pleased. I didn’t suffer mentally, I physically could not do any more reps.

  5. This was a rough one.
    row – 4, squats – 15, pullups – 5, pushups – 7, situps – 10

    Total: 41
    Pushups were the most difficult for me. Got 15, 12, 10, 8, 7,7,7, 7 (they were ugly by the end)

    push-ups owned me tonight too. that first set just felt so good, then I fell off a cliff… definitely didn’t gauge that one right.

  7. Great job to everyone on “Tabata This” tonight. This one looks tough. Tabata anything is usually not fun. I was glad to see everyone push themselves throughout the WOD. Pushups appeared to be the weak link for many. Most everyone made good ground on the squats and situps.

    Russell, it was good having you workout with us today. Drop-in more often if you have the time. We are looking forward to helping you out with Sectionals.
