    1. Thanks Jeff! couldn’t have attempted with out seeing you kill it first!

  1. Good Work! I tried doing 95#’s and lost it on the way down due to balance. I’ll get it next time!

  2. Hey all,
I know I’ve been out for almost 2 weeks now, but I just wanted to let you know I haven’t quit crossfit… I was actually hit in the face by a throw while running to first base in my softball game about a week and a half ago. The good news is I was safe. The bad news is I went to the ER and they told me my face was broken (I’ve been told this before, but never by a doctor). Had surgery the Saturday after it happened though and everything is more or less fixed.

The doc told me I shouldn’t work out till after I have a follow up appointment with him next Tuesday. My wife (ER nurse) concurred, so looks like I have to wait another week.

Hopefully see you all next week!

    1. I was wondering where you were. Sorry to hear you stopped a baseball with your face. Get well man!

  3. I’ve had that happen, I got a tripod fracture of my cheek bone, except I was trying to catch and tag the guy stealing. What part of your face was hit/broken? Hopefully it didn’t hit you in the mouth and break any teeth either!! Get well!

    1. good to know I’m not the only person this has ever happened to… completely broke my cheek bone (Zygomatic arch) in 3 places, no teeth though, thank goodness.

  4. Bill, thanks for the update I was wondering how you were doing. Hope all is going well with recovery!

Lunch group killed the team wod today! Was really happy to work with all of you all today. Congrats to Michelle on her 18″ box jump today! Luke killed the bench press and Chris was a box jump machine. Freddie handle the deadlift with confidence! Andrew came in a did the yesterdays wod in noon heat 🙂 Overall, extremely impressed with every one’s performance! Great job guys!

    1. Thanks Christina! It was a great workout and thanks to Luke, Chris and Michelle for picking it up when I had to bail on you all! Great job and Thanks Christina for all the help today!

  5. Went in for the lunch class to make-up yesterday’s WOD. Finished in 4:47 Rx’d. I was a little disappointed that I couldn’t test that 4 minute mark, but after a few days off, it was a nice quick and dirty workout to get back into it. I’ll be back this evening for some more.

The others were working very hard on today’s WOD. Great to see the hard work and teamwork. I look forward to this brutal workout.

  6. Funny thing…I can usually find my way here to post within 30 minutes of the lunch WOD…not so much today. That was a beast and I am grateful that it was a team WOD! I did enjoy the cleans for the first time ever, by the end they actually “felt” right. Freddie, a big honkin’ welcome to you and you be sure and come back for more! Thanks to everyone for the support on the box jumps. Jeff, those were for you and your mind over matter suggestion.

  7. 5:00 class did great today! I was on edge seeing how close the race was between all five groups! Leaders changed three to four times during the workout was really enjoyable to watch/coach!

    Today I did yesterdays WOD:
    6:28 Rx’d

  8. I was supposed to rest today so I ran about 5k at a moderate pace this afternoon, but then thrugh the comments realized that this was a team WOD which I love. There is something about shared pain and suffering that appeals to me. Jordan and Daniel were awesome in the Train, Coach, Mentor roles. (and Daniel made sure I didnt drop the bench bar on my face. Thanks) Overall awesome time at 6:15. I am supposed to be taking it easy ths week for the triathlon on Saturday, but I just hate missing too many WOD’s.
